How To Use Passcodes

Now that you know how to set up access codes, let's take a look at some examples of what they can be used for.

  • Allowing guests access to your building: If you are expecting guests, you can create a temporary code for them to use to gain access to your building. This way, you don't have to worry about giving them your personal code or having them call you to be let in.
  • Scheduling access for service providers: If you have a dog walker, house cleaner, or other service provider that needs regular access to your building, you can create a code for them to use. This way, you can control when they have access and when they don't.
  • Food and package deliveries: Create a unique code for your delivery services like Amazon, DoorDash, Postmates, etc. This way, the driver can use the code and the directory code to access your building without having to call you or wait for you to answer.
  • Temporary access for friends and family: If you have friends or family members visiting for a short period of time, you can create a code for them to use. This way, you can control when they have access and when they don't.
  • Controlling access for roommates: If you share an apartment with roommates, you can create a code for them to use. This way, you can control when they have access and when they don't. Bonus: you can also share your account with how many roommates you have depending on the subscription you choose:

The Lowkey app's access codes are a powerful tool that can be used for a variety of purposes. From allowing guests access to scheduling access for service providers, the possibilities are endless. With the ability to set expiration dates and times, you can ensure that your building remains secure while still giving the right people access when they need it.
